How to make dough for Roti in a food processor
Dough making made simple. Use your food processor to make the dough for chapatis and keep it refrigerated. Take out when ready to make fresh chapatis. It is so easy
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Serving: Makes 7 to 8 Chapati
Flour 2 1/2 cups
Salt pinch
Water 12 ounces
In order to make the dough for chapatis you will need the plastic attachment that would have come with the food processor.  I find it easier to make the dough in a food processor.  Usually I make enough and put it in the fridge.  That way I have the dough ready for fresh chapatis. 
  • Add the flour to the food processor container
  • Add a pinch of salt - optional
  • Now add 8 oz of water and turn the food processor on
  • Watch the dough take shape
  • Slowly add more water while the food processor is operating
  • Continue the process till a well shape dough is formed
  • Remove and put it in the fridge to chill it
  • Take out and leave it at room temprature before making chapatis
