Pressure Cooker Recipes
This is a very simple and easy dish but still very delicious.  Try this and you will cook it again and again
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Serving: 2 persons
Chicken 1 pound
Onions thinly sliced 2 medium sized
Tomato 1 medium
Salt 1 Tea Spoon
Corainder Powder 2 Tea Spoon
Garam Masala 1/4 Tea Spoon
Red Chilli Powder 1/2 Tea Spoon
Ginger, Garlic paste 1 Tea Spoon each
Yogurt 2 Table Spoon
Cooking Oil 5 Table Spoon
Water 1 cup
  • Heat oil in a pot, add sliced onions and fry these till they start changing color
  • Add all spices along with 1/4 cup of water, stir well and cook for another 2 to three minutes before adding ginger and garlic paste
  • Cook down the masala ( spices with onion base) till the oil separates.  Keep on stirring well so that the masala does not stick to the pot.  Add water if necessary while cooking down
  • Now add yogurt and tomatoes and cook it down again this may take another 8 to 10 minutes
  • Add 3/4 of hot water, close the lid of the pressure cooker, cook on high heat till the pressure builds, lower the heat, simmer for five minutes.  Open the lid if there is still water left cook all the water down till you get the consistency as you see in the picture
  • Yes it is a bit oily, you can drain out the oil if you wish to do that
  • Serve hot with some cilantro leaves
