Chicken Korma
Curry Dishes
Korma made simple. This is the easiest way of cooking the famous chicken korma. You will love it both due to ease and more due to its final finger licking taste.
Preparation Time: 5 miniutes
Cooking Time: 40 minutes
Serving: 2 persons
Chicken 1 Pound or 500 gms
Yogurt 2 Cups or 500 gms
Oil 1 cup
Red Chilli powder 1 tea spoon
Corainder powder 2 tea spoon
Cloves 6
Green Cardimom 6 to 8
Black Cardimom 2
Black pepper 6 corns
Bay leaves 2
Nut Meg 1/2 grated
Cinamon stick two small pieces
Javitri - star anise 1 small piece
Ginger paste 1 tea spoon
Garlic paste 1 tea spoon
Fried onions 3/4 to 1 cup
Salt 1 teaspoon
Saffron 3 to 4 straws
Kewra 2 drops

Take a heavy bottom pot and mix every thing in the pot except the fried onions.  Turn on the heat at high, till the pot comes to a boil, lower the heat to medium and let it cook for another 20 to 25 minutes. Check the chicken for tenderness.  Dry the liquid till the base becomes grainy.  Add finely crushed onions to the pot, cook for 2 to 3 more minutes.  Turn off the heat and add 2 drops of kewra.

The dish is ready to be served with Naan or Sheermal.
